What is an iCalendar subscription?
An iCalendar subscription is a link to a calendar feed in the standard .ics format. Add the URL once and a compatible calendar app can check that feed for changes. AnyCalendar offers 13 country holiday feeds plus separate cultural, religious, and sports feeds without requiring an AnyCalendar account or an upload of your personal calendar.
A subscription and a download are not the same. Subscribing by URL keeps a connection to the feed; downloading an .ics file imports a one-time snapshot. Refresh timing is controlled by Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, or the app you choose, so changes are not instant and AnyCalendar cannot force a sync. Country holiday data comes from a third-party API, while calculated religious dates and sports schedules have their own update boundaries. Remove a subscribed feed in your calendar app when you no longer want it.

Frequently asked questions
What is a calendar subscription (ICS)?
An ICS (iCalendar) subscription is a live link to a calendar feed. When you subscribe, your calendar app automatically fetches updates โ so new holidays and date changes appear without any manual work.
Is it free? Will it always be free?
The subscription tools are currently free and require no account. There is no paid checkout in this flow; if that changes, this page should be updated to say so.
How often are the calendars updated?
Country holiday source data is reviewed as new 2027 schedules become available, and sports feeds change as their maintained schedules change. Your calendar app decides when to check a subscribed feed, so updates are not instant.
Can I subscribe to multiple calendars?
Absolutely! You can subscribe to as many calendars as you want โ for example, US holidays + Chinese Lunar calendar + NFL schedule, all synced to the same calendar app.
What's the difference between "Subscribe by URL" and "Download .ics"?
"Subscribe by URL" creates a live feed that auto-updates whenever we add new holidays. "Download .ics" gives you a one-time snapshot โ great for Outlook import, but won't auto-update.
Will this work with my calendar app?
The feeds use the standard iCalendar (.ics) format. Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Thunderbird, and Samsung Calendar support iCalendar imports or subscriptions, although the available steps and refresh behavior vary by app and account type.
Why subscribe to AnyCalendar?
Always current
Feed changes can reach a subscribed calendar when the calendar app refreshes. Sync timing depends on the app.
