Public holidays in Australia are a mix: some have national effect, and many are declared separately by each state and territory, which is why a single “AU” list cannot replace a NSW, VIC, or WA line-by-line list for every purpose.
The feed still helps with common questions: which Mondays are long weekends, when Anzac Day falls, and which civil dates move in a long weekend pattern. Movable feasts in the data are tied to the year on screen—do not copy a 2022 row into 2026 planning.
School term dates, retail trading restrictions, and award wages on public holidays are not covered on this page. If you are scheduling shift penalties or Saturday penalty rates, use Fair Work and your state education authority for schools.
