Rotation guide

Choose the pattern that matches cycle day one

Rotating schedules are anchored to a repeating sequence, not to calendar weeks. The first date must be the first working day of the cycle; otherwise every generated work and rest block will be offset.

4 on / 4 offEight-day cycle with equal work and rest blocksContinuous operations and 12-hour teams
3 on / 3 offSix-day cycle that moves through weekdaysSmall rotating crews
2-2-3Fourteen-day pattern with alternating long weekendsDay and night team rotations
CustomOne to fourteen workdays followed by one to fourteen rest daysSite-specific or personal schedules

What date should be used as the rotation start?

Use a confirmed cycle-day-one work date, even if it occurred before the period you want to view. Do not use the first day of a calendar month unless it is also the first workday in the rotation.

Can the generator create overnight shifts?

Yes. When the end time is earlier than or equal to the start time, the exported event ends on the following date. Review the imported time zone when crews travel or calendars use different account zones.

Rotation anchor

The selected start is the first workday in the pattern. If your team is midway through a cycle, use its most recent cycle-day-one date.

Calendar time

ICS events use floating local time so the imported shift follows the calendar account's time zone. Check it after importing when traveling.
