Rule reference
Match the recurrence rule to the real-world intent
A mathematically regular interval and a calendar-based rule can produce different dates.
Every 14 days
Use a two-week interval when the gap must always be exactly fourteen days, such as alternating team meetings or medication reminders.
Twice each month
Use separate monthly rules when dates are tied to the calendar, such as the 1st and 15th. This is not the same as every two weeks.
Month-day recurrence
A start on the 31st needs an explicit short-month policy: move to month end or skip months without that date.
Nth weekday recurrence
Use rules such as the second Tuesday or last Friday when weekday position matters more than the day number.
What happens to a monthly event on the 31st?
Choose month end to use February 28 or 29 and the final day of 30-day months, or choose skip to omit months that do not contain the 31st.
Can the dates be added to a calendar app?
Yes. The ICS export contains every generated occurrence and works with Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, and other compatible applications. CSV is available for spreadsheets and audits.
Short months
For dates such as the 29th, 30th, or 31st, choose whether a short month uses its final day or is omitted entirely.
Nth weekday rules
Rules such as the last Friday of each month are recalculated for every month and begin on or after the selected first date.
